Experience from the factory floor.
Our family’s experience in apparel manufacturing includes operating Kunshan Shuaigao, the factory documented in our SEGO archive, in Huaqiao, Kunshan.
Established in December 1999, the factory produced woven and denim garments for infants, children, and adults. Its main products included pants and jackets for the U.S. market.

Inside the factory.
Original photographs from the factory profile, following the work from sampling and cutting to sewing and finishing.
The factory brought together pattern making, sample development, cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing. Its archived team included 15 quality-control staff, four pattern makers, and four sample sewing operators.
This chapter in our family’s history helped build the practical manufacturing knowledge behind TODA’s work today. It continues to inform our approach to apparel manufacturing and fabric sourcing, from understanding materials to coordinating production.
